Dr. Mac Powell is an alumnus of the University of Missouri, where he earned his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Sociology. Dr. Powell went on to complete a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University-Los Angeles and returned to complete his PhD at the University of Missouri. Dr. Powell trained at Cedars-Sinai Hospital’s Center for the Study of Children in Groups and Vista Del Mar’s Family Stress Program in Los Angeles and worked as the primary family therapy clinician for a residential treatment facility for women and their families in St. Louis before designing a sports psychology curriculum at the Gateway Golf Academy.
